Cool Tools for the Eggs
- Rubber bands: These are useful to wrap around for some fancy designs.
- Nail polish: Don’t eat your eggs after you paint with nail polish, but the colors are unbeatable!
- Lemon juice: Using lemon juice instead of vinegar to prepare the eggs is a healthier approach, and more tasty.
- Stamps: Having some pre-drawn figures always helps
- Markers: Because why not?
Ideas for Looks
- Favorite Meme: Is there a simple design to create a meme? That’ll keep the Easter bunny laughing.
- Animals: Our favorite is coloring an egg yellow, then making it look like a plump chick! Other ideas include a rabbit (with some cute felt ears), a cow (imagine the black spots!), a panda bear, a bear, a dog and more.
- Vegetables or Fruit: A little bit of hot-glued-on felt goes a long way

Multiple Methods to color eggs
- Natural methods: Use your resources already on your grocery list to color your eggs! Beet juice, onion skins, turmeric and spinach are great natural egg-colorings.
- Kool Aid or Crystal Light: These drink mixes add an interesting pigment that is still edible!
- Shaving Cream/Whipped Cream: Mix some shaving cream with food coloring to add a stunning effect to the eggs. Use whipped cream if you plan to eat the eggs afterward.
Spray Paint: Shake some spray cans to add to the mix!
