Fiesta Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Time for a breaducation throwback with a classic Sourdough sandwich! The Fiesta Grilled Cheese used to be on the menu and is one of our most-requested recipes, with good reason. Four types of cheese topped with sautéed peppers on Sourdough is enough to satisfy even the most passionate grilled-cheese fans. 🧀

Ingredients⁠

  • Kneaders French Country Sourdough⁠
  • 1 Tbsp butter⁠
  • ½ Red bell pepper, diced⁠
  • 1 Jalapeno pepper, diced⁠
  • 2 Slices muenster cheese⁠
  • 2 Slices Swiss cheese⁠
  • 2 Slices provolone cheese⁠
  • 2 Slices pepper jack cheese⁠
  • 1 Tbsp oil⁠

Directions⁠

  1. Set pan to medium-high heat and sauté peppers in oil until soft, set aside⁠⁠
  2. Spread slices of Sourdough with butter⁠⁠
  3. Lay bread butter-side down on pan⁠⁠
  4. Place 2 slices of muenster and swiss on one piece of bread⁠⁠
  5. Place 2 slices of provolone and pepper jack on other bread⁠⁠
  6. Lay peppers evenly on top and close sandwich⁠⁠
  7. Keep sandwich on pan until bread is brown and cheese is melted⁠
