Pull-Apart Onion Bread

This recipe is one we know and love here at Kneaders, but today we are so excited to be sharing it with you! The sourdough, the cheese, the butter, the onions, the perfect combination? We think so! Take this to your next summer soiree to showcase our hearth bread accompanied with perfect cheese pull.

So let’s get to the ingredients. First, stop by your local Kneaders and pick up an unsliced loaf of our French Country Sourdough bread (you may want two loaves so you can have leftovers). Then head over to your favorite grocery store to pick up only 4 more ingredients… we told you this one was simple!

Ingredients:

1 unsliced loaf of Kneaders French Country Sourdough bread.

16 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced

½ cup melted butter

½ cup finely diced green onion

2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Cutting from the top of the bread, cut lengthwise and widthwise. Be sure to not cut through the bottom of the bread. This will create the pull-apart goodness.
  2. 2. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and insert cheese slices between cuts.  Combine butter, onion, and poppy seeds.  Drizzle over bread.  Wrap in foil.
  3. 3 Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.  Unwrap the bread and bake for 10 more minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and melted.
